Hubble Finds CO2 on Extrasolar Planet: "The Hubble Space Telescope detected carbon dioxide in the atmosphere of an exoplanet using its infrared camera and a planetary eclipse. The same technique could be used to detect the byproducts of extraterrestrial life.
