Planet-Hunting Space Telescope Readies for Launch: "A space telescope designed to detect Earth-like exoplanets is set to launch March 5. NASA's Kepler mission will scan a slice of the sky looking for the very slight dimming of starlight that occurs when an orbiting exoplanet passes in front of its star.
